Barbizon Lighting’s New York office has been collaborating with New York based neurosurgeon John Mangiardi who is the founder and originator of the 15 patents that are the source for the Optimus ISE™ (Interactive Surgical Environment) project.
Optimus has re-engineered the operating room from the ground up for the first time since World War II. The Optimus ISE™ is a radical redesign of the operating room. This includes the operating table, the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the lighting, the cleaning system, the inventory control, information technology, information management, cutting-edge sterilization capabilities.
Barbizon along with the other design affiliates recently saw their work come to fruition when the first Optimus ISE™was completed in Barcelona.
It is truly a 'cutting-edge' design that will reshape how surgery will be done.
