Barbizon Electric Co., Inc is looking for an Assistant Project Manager who can work within the construction community and coordinate the installation of theatrical lighting and rigging equipment for permanent installations.
Barbizon Electric, the NY division of Barbizon Lighting Company has been providing the entertainment industry with lighting supplies for more than 60 years. The New York City office services customers in Manhattan, Long Island, areas of upstate New York and New Jersey. The Systems Division specializes in installing entertainment lighting and rigging equipment in venues such as professional theatres, television studios, retail stores, schools, universities and themed environments.
Responsibilities include working with customers and manufacturers to execute contract work, coordinate deliveries, layout system designs, review construction documents, track progress and attend/ coordinate job-site meetings.
Required Skills Include:
- Strong technical theatre or studio background
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows
- Valid drivers license
- CAD/ Visio skills and construction experience a plus
